Director of Operations, National Trainer
Daniel currently serves as the Director of Operations and a National Trainer for Family Leadership. He is the author of Family Leadership’s Calm and Kind Family curriculum, which focuses on compassion, connection, and trauma-informed behavioral strategies for parents and kids.
Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in theology. Before joining Family Leadership, Daniel worked on multiple church staffs over a 15-year period. His most recent role was the executive pastor of a thriving church. During his time as a pastor, he gained experience in organizational leadership, staff development, strategic planning, operations, board governance and finance. Daniel is also an experienced and sought-after speaker and coach. He is excited to bring his organizational knowledge and experience as a speaker/trainer to help Family Leadership further its mission.
Daniel’s passion for developing Calm and Kind Family stems from his experience as a foster and adoptive parent. His extensive training in trauma-informed strategies and his experience as a counselor/mentor to families dealing with difficult challenges inspired the curriculum. Daniel and his wife, Whitney, co-founded the non-profit City Without Orphans. Together they have facilitated professional development and parenting workshops for, and provided support to, thousands of foster and adoptive families throughout California.
Daniel lives in Fresno with his wife, Whitney, and their three children, Angel, Selah and Judah. His personal hobbies include golf, reading and cooking.
