Teresa is a Team Support Specialist and National Trainer with Family Leadership. Her exposure to and experiences with varied districts in South Carolina enhances her qualifications to serve in this role. She brings parenting skills, experiences, and her strength of relationship-building to support teams in a collaborative effort. Her passion and dedication supports Parenting Partners™ teams as they create successful outcomes for families.

Teresa was born and raised in Edgefield, South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from South Carolina State University. Teresa also earned a Masters’ Degree of Elementary Administration from Charleston Southern University.

Teresa has served as a school teacher, media specialist, curriculum coordinator/facilitator, and assistant principal. After ten years as a principal, Teresa retired in 2018 with 32 years of experience.

Since retirement, Teresa has worked with the South Carolina State Department of Education as a Transformation Coach in the Office of School Transformation. She is currently an adjunct professor with Grand Canyon University, serving as a Site Coordinator offering support to intern teachers and principals.

Teresa and her husband, Derrick, reside in Swansea, near Lexington, South Carolina. They have three daughters, a son, and a daughter-in-law. Family time is centered on their children, grandchildren, other family members, and special friends.
