January is a busy time for us because new Parenting Partners semesters begin as well as our staff travel to attend conferences and train facilitators across the country. Continue reading to see what our staff has been up to over the last few weeks.
Our staff enjoyed meeting district and prospective partners at two education conferences in January: CAASFEP in Sacramento, California and SCABSE in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Two of our directors, Patty Bunker and Katie Harri, represented Parenting Partners at the California Association of Sate & Federal Education Programs in mid-January in Sacramento, California. Parenting Partners has attended this conference since 2014 and over the years we have met many people that are passionate about running state & federal education programs.
Parenting Partners is happy to be part of this conference and support what they are doing to impact the next generation.
Patricia Wade, one of our Team Support Specialists, presented at the South Carolina Alliance of Black School Educators conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Patricia presented the workshop “Building Family-School Partnerships: Strategic Engagement for Success” to enthusiastic conference participants.
This was Patricia’s first conference on her own and we are thrilled to hear how well the workshop went and the connections she made with attendees.
