Earlier this month two of our team support staff members exhibited and taught a workshop at the Texas Statewide Parental Involvement Conference in Frisco, TX. Malu Pulido and Terri D’Agostino were encouraged by the enthusiasm of the educators, community leaders and parents they interacted with at the conference.
Malu Pulido led a workshop titled: Success Starts at Home – Building Literacy and Achievement through Positive, Effective Family Engagement to eager conference participants. The attendees especially enjoyed the balloon exercise and the Conversation Spinner Game.
Our staff had many wonderful conversations and developed connections with people from around the state that want to enhance family and community engagement in their communities. Malu Pulido and Terri D’Agostino also met a handful of people already teaching Parenting Partner workshops in their districts that wanted to stop by the booth and share their excitement for the workshops.
We are happy to have the opportunity to partner with this conference because they promote parent involvement and sustainable parent engagement in order to increase student achievement. This is the 6th year we’ve been involved with this conference and we look forward to working with them for years to come.
